Fatal road accident in dera Ismail Khan claims 11 lives

At least 11 members of a family were killed in a tragic road accident in Dera Ismail Khan after their vehicle’s brakes failed on their way to Danasar, officials said on Thursday.

The family traveled from Khanozai in Balochistan when the accident occurred. Rescue 1122 teams rushed to the place and got seven bodies, including five women, a man and a child.

All deceased were moved to a nearby hospital while the endeavors continued to trace and recover the remaining victims.

Three people were injured, which was provided with first aid on site and then switched to the district headquarters Hospital Dera Ismail Khan. The wounded included 27-year-old Darya Khan, 10-year-old Yousaf and 25-year-old Ahmad.

District Emergency Officer Engineer Phaseehullah expressed deep sorrow and grief over this tragic accident and prayed for the departed.
