Dera Ismail Khan:
At least 13 members of the same family, including five women and a child, were killed in a tragic road accident Friday after their vehicle brakes failed near Danasar in Darazinda, on the highway connecting Dera Ismail Khan with Quetta.
The family traveled from Khanozai, Balochistan, to DI Khan as their vehicle went out of control due to brake failed and overturned. Rescue 1122 Officials said 13 people died on site while three others were caused by injuries.
The deceased included 27-year-old Darya Khan, 25-year-old Ahmed and 10-year-old Yousaf. Rescue teams changed seven bodies to the hospital while the locals helped transport six others. The wounded received first aid before being moved to District Headquarters Hospital in Di Khan.
After the tragedy, the bodies were handed over to the relatives of medico-legal formalities. Later, the victims were laid to rest at the cemetery of their ancestors after burial beans, who participated by a large number of griefs.
Rescue officials confirmed that the crash was caused by brake failure, a common danger to the hilly stretch on the highway connecting Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa with Balochistan.
