PTI in fresh bid for khan’s release

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa chief minister Ali Amin Gandapur has called for the Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir to resolve the issue of imprisoned Pakistan Tehreek-In-Insaf (PTI) Foundation Chairman Imran Khan’s detention.

“You have to solve IMRAN KHAN’s questions. The 250 million people in this country are your army,” he said while talking to a big party -Rally in Peshawar on Saturday.

Gandapur described the PTI chief’s struggle as a “war for genuine freedom” and called on the judiciary to make decisions in accordance with law and constitution.

“Maintaining the Constitution is a duty for everyone in this country. We have raised our vote to the Constitution and we will continue to do so. The highest number of human rights violations have happened here,” he added.

He also highlighted PTI’s attitude under previous tensions with India and noted that “the whole nation was united and we respected the institutions at that time”.

He reiterated that the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government does not support any military operation and emphasizes that “operations are not a solution to these problems”.

PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar reiterated that the election on February 8 “was stolen”. “The whole world knows that 200 million people want ‘capture number 804’. The rally was also witnessing organizational challenges. Young male PTI workers allegedly entered the women’s section, causing the police to intervene.

In response, many female activists left the room before the central leaders’ addresses. About 800 police and traffic staff were deployed to maintain security.

The rally caused partial closure of the ring road and highway, which led to traffic disorders. Many participants, including party leaders, had to walk up to two kilometers to reach the room due to parked vehicles along the highway.
