Madonna made some surprising revelations in her first podcast interview ever.
Talking with author and podcast host Jay Shetty for his Deliberately Podcast, Madonna shared a thing that has led her through decades of fame, controversy and personal struggle.
The Queen of Pop said, “You have to be spiritual to succeed. Success is to have a spiritual life, period. I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t have one.”
She continued to add, “What have I done to others? It’s really the only way you can succeed in life.”
“It’s like the largest amount of light where there is darkness and you can reveal the most amount of light. When you are in a dark room, you turn on the light. When you are in a room that is already light, what do you do, there is no, um, effort. Then we have to look for darkness?” she noticed. “The purpose of my soul is to reveal light in the world through what I do.”
“I want it all, but I want it to share sharing, not to keep it for myself,” said Madonna.
However, Madonna has accepted, “I do not fit in, and not to fit in is what is saving you.”
“Spiritual wisdom is not useful when everything goes your way. It’s useful when you’re challenged and when you’re happy,” she said.
