The mother of Cleveland Brown’s Quarterback Shedeur Sanders fired back against criticism he received from former NFL head coach Rex Ryan on Monday.

Ryan had some excited words for Sanders after Rookie said he was able to play better than some of the starters in the league. However, Sanders has not moved up from the No. 3 position on the depth card and has not seen action in any Browns game this season despite Cleveland being 1-3, not even in waste time.

Pilar Sanders did not seem to appreciate the comments from Ryan.

“For young athletes and football fans … That’s how cancer, envious energy looks,” she wrote in a post on her Instagram stories. “This type of evile (sic) goes back – you can cut it with a knife – embedded in blood and bones that seep through all the rotten worm holes it has.

“What and who does he really represent? Its family and comrades must be embarrassed about knowing and letting this on their platforms. There is no room for this type of sport type.”

The post has since been taken down.

The former New York Jet’s main coach said at ESPN that he thought there was something “missing” from the Sanders conversation when the panelists discussed what head coach Kevin Stefanski should do on the position.

“This child is talking and he runs his mouth. As he said, ‘I can be a start-quarterback’ with his arms crossed like this. Get your a-front row and study and do all that. If I know, the whole league,” Ryan said.

“Stop being an embarrassment that way. You have the talent to be quarterback, you have to be. You have to be embarrassed that you’re not quarterback now.”

Sanders said last week he thought he could do better than some current starters in the NFL.

“I know if you see the quarterback game in the league right now, I know I’m able to do better than that,” Sanders told ESPN Cleveland.
