An MLB camera after the season became too literal while caught a spectacle in the Detroit Tigers-Cleveland Guardian’s Wild Card Game 1 Tuesday afternoon.
Under a bat between Tigers Ace Tarik Pushal and Guardians Hitter Angel Martinez, the former delivered a 100 mph Fastball, which the latter embarked on a 0-2 count.
While Martinez just missed putting the barrel on a ball, it went right back and crushed a camera filming the game behind the home plate. Pushal noticed it right away while on the home plate they turned around to see a pile of glass from the lens on the grass.

ESPN PLAY-BY-Play advertisement Sean McDonough wondered if it was a camera from his own broadcast, but it wasn’t. The broadcast showed a clear overview behind the home plate, while the guardians’ basic fellows sprinted to clean up as soon as possible.
Pushal has not allowed much solid contact at all, as the winner of the Cy Young Award from 2024 has definitely played the role of Ace for Tigers to begin after the season. Through seven laps, Pushal was 14 strikes and gave up only three hits over his 7 ⅔ laps.
However, the guardians were able to score a race to tie the game in the fourth lap after Martinez got on the base with an infield singles. Pushal issued a trip to Jose Ramirez, and after getting the next two blows to beat, Gabriel Aria’s high chops for an infield -hit Martinez Dry Pushal by sprinting from the second base to the home.

Although Pushal got the ball to the record in time, Martinez’s hand came under the brand even to the game on one piece.
The Tigers have taken the lead since when Zack McKinstry’s victim bunt to First Base allowed Riley Greene to score from third to make it a 2-1 game.
These Wild Card series are only best-of-three, which makes Game 1 so crucial to the eight teams playing on Tuesday.
