Amazon’s BIG 2025 -Hardware -launch has just finished -and as usual there was an avalanche of new launches across its series of Echos, Ring door box, Kindles, four TVs and more.
There were so many messages, it is actually difficult to choose a prominent headliner. Amazon said the four new Echo devices – Echo Dot Max, Echo Studio, Echo Show 8 and Echo Show 11 – are the most powerful it has ever made, so they definitely have a good cry about the title.
But if you are a Kindle fan, you may be most excited about the new Kindle Scripe series that includes the first color model ever. Elsewhere, we also saw a new four TV lineup along with a new 4K streaming stick plus more ring door box than we have seen in our lives -including the first 4K models.
Do you feel a little overwhelmed and not sure what to add to your Black Friday shopping list? Here are all the big messages in a practical place …
1. We met Echo Dot Max
Look at
It’s been a while since Amazon really gave his Echo Dot line a shake up, but it did today with the arrival of Dot Max.
As the name suggests, this is a larger, more powerful dot – it has two drivers, and Amazon says it has “almost 3x bass” of the existing Echo Dot (5th gen). It also runs on more powerful silicon in the form of the new AZ3 chip, which apparently allows for better microphones and improved conversations.
But what really stands out right away is the classic new design: 3D knitwear network is effectively seamless and looks good.
Of course, it is sent with Alexa+ inside it and costs a reasonably sounding $ 99,99 / £ 99.99 / AU $ 199 when it arrives on October 29.
2nd. There is also a new Amazon Echo Studio
Amazon launched four new Echo devices on its big hardware party and the audiophilic-friendly Echo study could end up being the most popular.
A successor of the old Echo study from 2019 (which won a Techradar ‘Product of the Year’ Gong that year), it is now 40% smaller and rather looks like a big Echo Dot Max.
Like before, Echo Studio ($ 219.99 / £ 219.99 / AU $ 429) is filled with audio technology-Inclusive Dolby Atmos support, spatial sound and a high-excursion woofer with three full range drivers.
It can also act as part of your TV’s surround sound system along with four other Echo Studio and Echo Dot Max devices.
3. The new Echo Show -Units look ideal for Alexa+
Do your smart speakers prefer to have touch screens? Good news, Amazon has also updated its smaller Echo Show devices that promise to be fine nodes for Alexa+. In fact, Amazon says they are the best way to experience his next general voice assistant.
There are two available models, an 8-inch that costs $ 179.99 / £ 179.99 / AU $ 349 and an 11-inch version (a new screen size for the series) Available for $ 219.99 / £ 219.99 / AU $ 429.
Amazon says the touch screens have been improved with better viewing angles, while the 13MP camera will apparently recognize who is using it to earn relevant info.
However, the real potential could come from the Alexa+ Store, which will help the Echo show connect to thousands of services such as Uber and now Oura for your health and wellness data.
If you don’t mind your smart speakers knowing a lot about you, the new Echo shows may be the homeholders you’ve been waiting for a while.
4. We got our first color-tingle-written written in writing
We are big fans of the Kindle Scribe series, who are like e-readers with the Note-Take forces on a remarkable tablet. And now Amazon has given them their biggest overhaul yet and revealed three new models including the first color version.
The new Kindle scriptures have larger 11-inch screens with a more paper-like structure and a new front-light system that helps reduce the size of the frame. But the series in the series is the new Colorsoft version that uses Amazon’s own display -tech and promises weeks of battery life.
Of course, it doesn’t come cheap at $ 629.99 / £ 569.99 (Australian pricing TBC), but it looks like an explosion for brainstorming and reading of comics. It will be available “later in the year” in the US and in 2026 elsewhere, including the UK.
5. The first 4K Ring Video -drox bells arrived
Amazon’s hardware show started with some big ring-dust-bell-news-the first 4K models ever and some new image-boosting software (AI-driven, of course) called retinal vision.
These first 4K models include the wired Doorbell Pro, Spotlight Cam Pro, Floodlight Cam Pro and Outdoor Cam Pro that get retinal 4K tech. Amazon promises better performance with low light and 10x zoom from this software, which also comes to other models in the form of retina 2K.
There are a total of seven new models and everyone is available for pre -order today.
6. Search party melted our hearts
Amazon knows the way to our hearts – dogs. Specifically: Lost dogs. So its new search party function was guaranteed to make us well treat.
This is an AI-driven feature for ring cameras that promise to reunite lost dogs with their families once reported by crowddsourcing nearby door bells.
The way it works is that if someone reports a lost dog in the ring app, anyone with nearby outdoor ring chambers can start a search party. This will use AI to look for possible matches, and the camera will again notify the owner (of the camera, not the dog) if it gets a positive result. They will then be able to share the good news with the dog owner.
With familiar faces (face recognition tech to help reduce your number of messages) and Alexa+ greetings (automated responses to control of deliveries and more) also advertised, ring units have certainly intensified their games.
Search party for dogs starts rolling out in November, followed by cats and other pets, and Alexa+ greetings and familiar faces available in December.
7. There are a number of new brand -TVs
Amazon has gone all on TVs today -which makes sense, considering that its brand -tv -set sells at the bucket load over Black Friday.
There are new four TV 2 series models, 4-Series models and Omni QLED series models, all in different sizes ranging from 32in for the 2-series up to 75-inch for OMNI, and most sizes in between.
As you would expect, prices also vary greatly. The 32-inch 2 Series costs only $ 159 / £ 249.99, while the Omni QLED series starts at $ 479.99 for the 50-inch model rising to $ 1,199 for the 75-inch, with 55in and 65in models falling between these extremes.
Everyone wants Amazon’s omnisense tech – which turns on the TV when you enter the room and turn it off when you leave – plus a new dialog boost mode. Omni is also said to be 40% faster and 60% brighter and has Dolby Vision and HDR10+ adaptive support among other features.
You can pre -order the new sets now with accessibility that starts in October.
8. And there is a new cheaper 4K four TV stick
Amazon says the new four TV 4K selection is “the fastest 4K -stick under $ 40” -which is not something we can test until we get our hands on it, but which is welcome if it is true.
This speed is at least partly due to its new operating system Vega OS, the same platform that will also operate the new ECHO devices. And as you would expect, it also creates lots of AI skills; It will support Alexa+and can perform smart tricks like jumping you to a particular scene in a movie if you ask it to do so.
It comes with all the major streaming services on board and is available to order now and shipping next month for $ 39.99 / £ 49.99 / AU $ 89.
9. We got two new flash -cameras
We are pretty fond of blinks home-watching cameras, with Mini 2 and Outdoor 4, both of which run high in our guide to the best home security cameras. So we look forward to taking a closer look at their two newcomers, both announced today at Amazon’s event.
The outdoor 2K Plus is, as the name suggests, a battery -powered camera that can keep an eye on the outside of your property. It has 2K resolution and apparently comes with improved low-light performance. It is also temptingly affordable for only $ 89.99 in the US (there is no news about international accessibility), but remember that some features like person and vehicle detection need a flash plus subscription.
If it’s an indoor cam you’re looking for, there are also mini 2k+ ($ 49.99 / £ 39.99 / AU $ 59). It is even cheaper and offers similar features such as its outdoor siblings, but needs wired power instead.
Both will start sending from mid-October, but it may be worth keeping fire and looking for Black Friday deals.
10. The blink arch is doing something quite different
Look, something new in the world of Home Security Cameras-Blink arch is like a bug-eyed chameleon offering 180-degree coverage from a place (and a single charging point).
The two cameras easily sew their footage to give you a panoramic view of your garden. The disadvantage is that to get the full 180-degree view, you need a flash-subscription plus plan. You also need blink weather -resistant power adapter to use it outdoors.
Still, if you have an annoying blind spot in your security comb cover, it can be a practical solution. The arch costs $ 99.99 / £ 89.99 / AU $ 109, and if you already have two cameras you can also buy Mount separately.
11. Alexa+ finally got some more homes
Yes, Alexa+ was announced back in February, but the voice assistant is slowing down against mainstream.
Not much has changed in terms of roll-out-it is still being launched in slow movement across the United States during an “early access period” before they will be launched more in the coming months “.
It’s a shame Amazon didn’t have much more to share with the global rollout of Alexa+, but at least we have a lot of new devices designed to play well with it.
Some of these, like Echo Dot Max, are relatively affordable for $ 99.99 / £ 99.99 / AU $ 199. And although Alexa+ even costs $ 19.99 per day. Month, it is also free for all prime members – another lovely fringe that keeps you hopelessly locked in.
