There were high expectations attached to the New York Mets coming in this season. But a 5-5 record over the last 10 games of the regular season combined with a less than the September of the stars as a whole ended with mets that fell during the playoffs.
In the midst of Mets’ accidents, Michael Kay, a radio host and play-by-play advertising for New York Yankees, decided to weigh.
Kay took the opportunity to point his finger in the way some fans behaved for different periods of the peak season and into the regular season.

“Again, any with -fan out there, I feel for you. I do. And I am not at all pleased with your pain, but it is the vicious, angry subgroup of mets fans who were not embraced by their parents who had no love in their family and they love to pass on hatred; bounding, ugly, the ones I did not feel sorry,” said Broadcaster “The Michael Kay Show.”
“Let me tell you a little secret: I feel joy over your pain today because you deserve it. The way you tried to make my life a living hell of all these Juan Soto -Tweets when you know I never once said that the things you are accusing to me said: But you needed something to hang on the edge and said, -Show, let it do for him. ‘
“But now I’m the one who laughs at you because you couldn’t beat Cincinnati Reds with a $ 110 million payroll. You added the big Juan Soto to a team that went to Game 6 in NLCS and you didn’t make playoffs next year. How do you wrap your mind around it?”

Kay later clarified that the entire Mets fan base was not the goal of his Ire. Instead, he highlighted fans aimed at Yankees after Pinstripes couldn’t preserve Juan Soto.

During one of the Yankees-Met’s famous “Subway series”, Kay-with-with-referral to sources within both Yankees and METS-at Soto was “very, very glum around the clubhouse.” Kay said he received setback after his report.
“I got a lot of mets friends. They’re ruined today. How could you not be?” Said Kay. “This team is systematically ripping out your heart. And these are the people I really for. I really feel for them. The people that I don’t feel like the people who made me think it might be fun today to come today at 1 o’clock and just giggle for two hours. You know who you are. You are the creeps that couldn’t be good enough. You are the ones who continued to send these tweets to me, ‘Juan Soto looks happy now.’ How mute do you have it?

“Because this was supposed to be a daunting of a new era. Yankees disappeared. When they went 20-31 over these 51 games, you pleased you. ‘I don’t think yankees can do the playoffs. Look, they couldn’t do it with their plan B.’ Plan B worked.
Soto ended his first season in Queens with 43 home runs, 105 RBIs and 38 stolen bases.
While Mets Front Office is starting to strategize how to improve in 2026, Yankees opens a Wild-Card Playoff series with Boston Red Sox on Tuesday night.
