Islamabad:
The Pakistan Election Commission (ECP) expressed disappointment on Tuesday over the long -term delay in Punjab’s local government elections, called the person secretary personally and planned a full bench meeting for October 8.
The election supervisor met under the presidency of the Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja to review the status of the local government elections in Punjab.
During the meeting, the ECP Secretary informed the Commission, stating that the local authorities in Punjab had ended in 2021.
