Amazon’s huge hardware event has started, and we cover all the company’s exciting new messages in our live blog, and first on Amazon’s list is its brand series of Ring Smart Home products -Welcome the new signature line with the 4K Smart Home cameras of the retina.
From the new ring video door bell, which is the company’s first since 2023, Amazon’s Smart Home Security series has received a handful of much needed upgrades, especially its 4K vision, which is a first to ring.
“Ring Retinal 4K drives our most advanced lineup yet with Wired Doorbell Pro, Spotlight Cam Pro, Floodlight Cam Pro and Outdoor Cam Pro. Plus, for those who want power over ethernet devices, we also introduce Spotlight Cam Pro Poe, Outdoor Cam Pro Poe and Wired Doorbell Elite”, Amazon. But look there is more.
In addition to 4K Vision, Amazon Ring’s abilities enhance the addition of AI -Smarts to reveal the smallest details. This includes a new X10 zoom and improved low-light performance so you can clearly see your surroundings under bad conditions. However, it would not be an Amazon launch without mentioning Alexa+and you are lucky.
Ring gets Alexa+ Smarts
“Sharper Vision is only the beginning,” says Amazon, and the other side of Ring’s new features can all be attributed to Alexa+, starting with Alexa+ Greetings.
Essentially, Alexa+ can work on your behalf as a doorbell assistant. For example, if someone arrives at your door, Alexa+ can talk to them and ask their reasons to visit, and will keep you informed as the interaction progresses. It will even be able to help with deliveries and provide instructions to visitors.
Another smart feature that comes to the new Ring 4K line is well -known faces, a feature that can identify well -known visitors and thus reduce messages triggered by well -known people. Amazon covers even more into the feature:
‘Functions call notifications, video events and timeline with a personal context of who has been discovered, eliminates guesswork, and makes it effortless to find and review important moments that involve specific well -known people across the Ring app experience’.
Search party joins Ring’s AI Circle
Just when we thought it was, Amazon hits us with another new AI feature – here’s a search party.
This new addition to the ring ecosystem aims to help reunite lost pets with their families after Amazon’s report that over a million posts about lost or found pets were shared to the Ring Neighbors app last year. It’s getting even smarter.
When you report a missing pet in the ring app, a search party starts with the nearby calling outdoor cameras. From there, the new ring cameras will use AI to identify possible matches and notify camera owners if it detects the missing pet that may be near one of your devices. A picture of the missing pet is then sent to your ring app as well as any relevant recordings that you can then report to your neighbors.
