Denon AVR-S270BT: Key features and pricing
There is no Dolby Atmos support at all, which can be a deal breaker for some. But the rest of the specification is solid: There is Dolby Digital, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. You also get Dolby Pro Logic II and DTS NEO 6 up mixing from stereo sound sources.
There are three 4K HDMI inputs and two more 1080p inputs, and the recipient has 4K HDMI review with HDR10, DOLBY VISION AND HLG, making it suitable for Blu-ray and streaming boxing self-mentioned 4K 120Hz support so gamers should pay attention.
You can save your preferred volume settings and audio mode with the fast selection buttons on the recipient and on its included remote control.
We have listened to many Denon AV recipients over the years, and we recommend them regularly for their sound quality and performance. This relatively affordable looks like it will be a good opportunity for smaller setups, or those who just want big Bang-For-Buck without getting into more detailed setups.
AVR-S270BT will only be available for purchasing from Denon.com for $ 399 (approximately £ 220 / AU $ 460 excluding tax) and Costco ($ 299) in the US and it will be available from Best Buy in Canada ($ 499). We do not have broader information about worldwide availability yet, but we will update if we learn more.
