October has arrived and it also has the schedule for new HBO Max films that are making the streaming service’s catalog of titles even better – and spookies.
Our top election this month everyone comes from the horror genre, all with over 90% on the rat tomatoes from the critics. Three of these are Slasher -Movies, such as Wes Craven’s A nightmare on Elm Street (1984), but I have also chosen a supernatural horror that is considered one of the most frightening films ever made, and a witch film – both of A24.
I am convinced that these choices will perfectly help you with the transition to the official eerie season, but it does not have to be about horror as HBO Max has an abundance of genres in the way you can see below. That’s why it’s one of the best streaming services.

A horror classic from the mastermind behind the slasher genre, A nightmare on Elm Street is just one example of how Wes Craven earned his rightful status as one of Kings of Horror movies.

From a classic slasher to a modern masterpiece, ten West’s X is one of the most recognized modern horror films in recent years. It contains two modern screams Queens – Jenna Ortega and Mia Goth. X is the first in West’s Slasher trilogy that all stars goth as the lead.
IN X, A group of hopeful filmmakers and actors travel to an isolated farm in Texas to shoot a film in the hope of reviving the art of the wax film – it’s 1979 for reference. When they arrive, they are greeted by farm owners Howard and Pearl, who, after discovering what the group’s intention is, expresses their rejection in the most creepy way.
Soon the group finds themselves fighting for their survival as they are chased by the murder of their crazy hosts, all of whom are driven by Pearl’s huge jealousy over their youth.

I have said it before, and I will say it again, Toni Collette’s performance as a grieving mother did not get enough recognition from the great award ceremonies, but at least it made a lasting impression on horror fans.
When the Matriarch of the Graham family goes away, her daughter Annie is left without knowing how to cope with the recent loss, but does not see how it also affects her 13-year-old daughter. As the family comes with the loss, creepy things begin to happen.
The series of occurrences becomes more disturbing, and Annie soon discovers that this evil could root back to her own mother, learning that a dark occult is running in her bloodline.

The second, and no doubt best rate, to ten West’s Slasher trilogy also comes to HBO Max this month – and it packs a perfect balance between horror and comedy. IN XWe saw older farm owner Pearl loosen her jealous in a murderous violent ramping but Pearl is the story of origin.
Located in Texas, 1918, Pearl (Mia Goth) lives on a secluded farm with strict parents, but all she can do is Daydram with leaving her home and becoming a great Hollywood actress. She is obsessed with fame, but more obsessed with not showing up as her mother did.
Her dreams are soon crushed when she learns how much work and talent is required to be a true star, but when her intense ambitions get stronger, her murderous tendencies make.
