Ryder Cup legend calls Rory McIlroy’s hypocrisy about golfans

It’s no secret that crowds on Bethpage Black this last weekend under the Ryder Cup were harder than normal golf volumes.

Rory McIlroy got the extent of Heckling, whether it told him his wife was “a four” who asked about Amanda Balionis in the middle of a former rumored (with his wife just feet away), F-bombs dropped or constant reminders of 2024 US Open at Pinehurst No. 2.

McIlroy called the fans in Team Europe’s victory press conference and said that Heckling should not be accepted as a normal Ryder Cup behavior.

On the flip side, however, McIlroy was caught using several F-bombs against fans who asked at least one to “shut f — up” and even drop several “F — Yous” after a big putt.

Former Hold US Ryder Cup player and Captain Paul Azinger noticed and felt the need to call McIlroy out.

“Rory probably rejected $ 500 million not to go to life. And he’s European and we see how much he wants to beat our tour. But he stayed here and he fought for us. He fought for PGA Tour, so I love him for it,” Azinger started in a look with “Subpar.”

“But today after the press conference, after it’s over, he says, ‘I think golf should be kept to a higher standard for decor.’ But in the meantime, he says ‘f-you, f-you, f-you’ in full voice for the world to see. And he said, ‘It felt pretty good.’ And I like, which is what Rory? ”Azinger continued. “Is it that golf is kept to a higher standard, or should you just fans and act like it’s ok?

“I love Rory, you know, but you can’t say it. You can’t say the fans have to behave better and then in the meantime put them to waste. You can’t do both. You have to be one or the other.”

At this press conference, Pakinomist asked Digital McIlroy about his interaction with fans and how he chooses when to do it.

“Frankly, I would say it’s just on impulse,” McIlroy said. “Sometimes I do, sometimes I do. I’m a pretty impulsive character if you haven’t noticed it. Sometimes I get involved and sometimes I catch myself and hold. But I don’t really choose when, and it’s just kind of sometimes I do, and sometimes I don’t.”

The Europeans won the event, 15-13, largely partly for dominance Friday and Saturday. They went into Sunday’s singles leading 11.5-4.5, but the Americans gave a brave effort for a miraculous comeback.

However, that was not enough and Europe became the first team to win a Ryder Cup on the road since they did it in 2012. It was also the first time since Europe won three from 2010 to 2014 that a team won back-to-back Ryder Cups.
