Four police personnel wounded in Peshawar IED explosion

Peshawar:

Four police personnel were wounded when an improvised explosion device hit their vehicle near Qamar Your Chowk in Bhanah Mari Police Station’s Jurisdiction, Peshawar, Thursday.

According to Peshawar’s Chief City police officer Dr. Saeed Ahmad was the police vehicle on a routine patrol when the explosion took place. “The explosion occurred suddenly and injured four of our staff. They were immediately transferred to a nearby hospital for medical treatment,” he said.

The original reports identified the wounded officers such as Asi Shah Faisal, Constable Sajjad, Noorullah and driver Zia. Police and security forces quickly reached the place after the explosion and cut off the area to collect evidence.

Authorities have launched a study to determine the perpetrators of the attack and urge the public to remain vigilant.
