Islamabad:
The Senate’s Standing Defense Committee met on Thursday with Senator Abdul Qadir in the chairman to consider the solution of outstanding issues related to Gwadar Shipyard Development Project, including the acquisition of land, public complaints and environmental considerations.
The committee was informed by the Secretary, the Ministry of Defense Production and Chief Secretary Balochistan on the obstacles currently confronted in the performance of the Gwadar Shipyard Project.
The committee was assessed by the concerns of the local community as well as possible opportunities and feasibility for the implementation of the project.
