Cleveland Browns Rookie Quarterback Shedeur Sanders became viral to pantomiming during a recent interview, reportedly in response to comments from former head coach Rex Ryan.
Super Bowl-winning head coach Bruce Arian questioned why Sanders was interviewed.
“Why does the third quarterback get interviews?” Arians said during a performance on “Up & Adams.”

“You have nothing to do with the game, it’s all into media clicks. And he’s a damn of a personality, but the personality can’t get out until you do anything on the field.”
Browns announced on Wednesday that Dillon Gabriel will be the starting quarterback and Joe Flacco will be benched for their game against Minnesota Vikings.
Flacco fought when Browns went 1-3 in his four starts while finishing just over 58% of his passports in 815 yards with two touchdowns and six interceptions.
Arians quoted the team’s quarterback change as a reason not to get Sanders to talk to the media.
“It’s a big week for Dillon Gabriel, big week for Browns making this transition. For he’s even available to the press, I don’t know why he’s doing it,” Arians said.

“For me there is no sense to have him available. Whoever is running their media relations has to turn it down.”
Arians said he would try to make the most of Sanders by making sure he practiced hard and remains prepared.
“Keep growing, going to practice every day, work hard, and when your time comes, you need to be ready. Make sure you’re preparing to be starting every single week and if he’s acute quarterback, it’ll be in a big situation. He looked good in the first (Preseason game) and he really looked really bad in the other.”
In the viral interview, Sanders worded and made hand movements, but no words came out of his mouth.
Sanders’ interview was apparently in response to Ryan’s comments about Sanders playing games with the media.

“This boy runs my mouth like ‘I got could be a starting quarterback,’ with his arms crossed like this. Get your A- in the front row and studies and do all that. If I know, the whole league said,” Ryan said at Espn’s “Get Up”. “Stop being an embarrassment that way. You got the talent to be a quarterback. You have to be embarrassed that you’re not quarterback now.”
Arians was the head coach of the NFL for eight seasons. He spent five seasons with Arizona Cardinals and three with Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He won the Super Bowl with Buccaneers in 2020.
In 129 career games as the main coach, Arians had a record of 80-48-1.
