Imran, Bushra Gifts Case -Error exposed

Rawalpindi:

A trial on Friday postponed the hearing of a case of the alleged abuse of the rules of the state’s gift storage of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, without a case, because of the absence of one of their leading councils.

Special Judge Central Shahrukh Arjumand resumed the hearing of the case in a courtroom inside Rawalpindis Adiala prison, where both IMRAN and Bushra are withheld.

At the beginning of the hearing, Barrister Salman Saafdar’s associated the court informed that leading defense lawyer Qausain Faisal Mufti was UVEL.

The court expressed dissatisfaction with repeated absence from the defense attorney and issued a written order, which made it clear that no further excuses would be entertained. It ordered that the case will be heard daily until the final judgment.

The order noted that the defense had not provided any medical registration regarding Mufti’s disease, which prevented cross-the-prosecutor’s last witness, NAB officer Mohsin Haroon.

It observed that similar postponements were also taken in previous hearings. It ordered defense attorneys to conduct a cross investigation into the last prosecution of the next hearing on October 6.
