- Peacemaker Season 2 section 7 is out now
- Fans have been stunned by HBO MAX SHOWS LAST EPISODE
- It includes a character death that nobody saw come
Peacemaker Season 2 section 7 is out now – and fans have been abandoned by being at its shocking ending.
Titled ‘Like A Keith at Night’, Peacemaker Season 2’s penultimate chapter has been called the best episode of the season of many, and it’s all down to its very emotional last 10 minutes.
I can’t emphasize this enough: Full spoilers immediately follow To DC Universe (DCU) TV Show’s latest post. Turn back now if you haven’t seen it.
Peacemaker kills Auggie Smith II / Blue Dragon but not in the way you could expect

That’s right, the alternative universe version of Auggie Smith – I call him Auggie II from now on – die in Peacemaker‘s latest episode.
Some fans had predicted Auggie II would meet his end before HBO Max Shows second season ended. After all, he lives in a reality, a called Earth-2 / Earth-X, where the Nazis won World War II. It’s a wild fan -theory that viewers have had since Peacemaker Season 2 section 3 which was confirmed when the truth about Earth-2 was revealed in Peacemaker Season 2 section 6.
But there are several great twists and turns coming. Since ‘like a Keith at night’ reaches its peak, it is revealed that Auggie II is not a white supremacist. He says just as much during an incredibly tense conversation between him, Keith Smith II / Captain Triumph, DCU’s Chris Smith / Peacemaker, Emilia Harcourt and John Economos. Auggie II says he does not agree with how his world works until he admits that he does not have the strength to fight any injustice in his reality, which clearly beats a chord with the DCU quota.
Furthermore, Auggie II is even willing to let the latter trio return to their universe. It is despite the DCU’s Smith that kills his Earth-2 variant, alias Auggie II’s second son, and Keith II’s furious reaction to the very notion that Auggie II does not want to adopt revenge on the man who killed his youngest child.
The fact that Chris’s father was actually trying to be good in his dimension, and Vigilante also killed him because he did not know like Bruh ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ #peaCemaker #spoilers pic.twitter.com/2dc7pntzr0October 3, 2025
It is Auggie II’s unexpected rational attitude towards all the above that does what happens then, the more tragic.
As he holds his reasoned speech to the group, the two versions of Adrian Chase / Vigilante crashes through one of the Earth-2 Smith Household windows. Unaware that Auggie II lets Smith, Harcourt and Economos go, jumping vigilante in (ie the DCU variant) on Auggie II and stabbing him to death.
Earth X Auggie Smith is such a major criticism of central and passive politics. He may not be a Nazi, but he “does what he can” while accepting that he is living in a fascist world. In the following follows, Keith Chris attacks as the group tries to flee back through the interdimensional portal in the Earth-2 Smith Household Library. As Keith is preparing to shoot Chris in the head, Eagly attacks Keith, which allows the gang to get together and attack Keith when an emotionally frozen Chris looks at.
Unwilling to see his older brother, albeit an alternative variant of the universe, dies once again – remember that Chris accidentally killed Keith in DCU when they were still children – he screams “Stoooop!” Who shocks the group to stop their attacks.
“What’s wrong with us!?”, Chris adds before he screams: “What F ** K is wrong with all of us!?” When his allies look at in stunned silence. Leaning over a seriously wounded Keith, a tear defense Chris says, “I’m sorry … I’m so f ***** g sorry! It’s me … all I touch … It’s not your world that is wrong or mine … It’s me,” before I go all the way down.
In the hours since DCU Chapter One TV series’ latest episode was broadcast, fans have taken to social media, Reddit and forums to comment on Auggie II’s death, the increasingly full series of events that follow, and John Cena’s emotionally powerful acting.
“Chris’s collapse hit me so hard emotionally, I actually cry,” Redditor Ryham5 wrote. “Best episode of the show, carried none.”
“John Cena has evolved into a great actor, his crash scene was incredible,” said Commish-17, while Gillgruntfan53 wrote: “Rip Blue Dragon, you were too good for this world.”
Crazycraft24 also opinated: “Didn’t expect to be bad for Auggie Smith’s death!” Before DirtySocks53 posted: “The first five minutes were fun, the middle had great action and the end made me feel like crying”, and the petunian said, “It was perhaps my favorite episode of the series, but holy shit, I am emotionally out.”
Cena’s acting in EP 7 ruined me from R/DC_CINEMATIC
Over at Resetera, user Madlaughter wrote: “That episode went from like a 6.5/10 to a 10/10, once vigilante jumped through that window. Jesus Christ”, while Shennin said, “Cena’s spectacle in this episode was absolutely phenomenal. I tore when he screamed in qualifying.”
Meanwhile, Jaded Photographer Posted: “Earth X Auggie was a better person than the other wasn’t on my bingo card” Before Kalbalboa wrote, “Great episode. I screamed once on my TV and I haven’t done it this year. Damnit, Vigilante!
Of course, there is plenty of discussion about what this episode’s last Montages sets up for next week’s season finale. Based on the aforementioned assembly and Season 2 section 8 -Teaser, I will offer my thoughts on what could happen in another article. In the meantime, let me know what you thought of ‘like a Keith at night’ in the comments.
