Shailene Woodley has revealed why a “installment period” is crucial to adopted animals.
The 33-year-old American actress chatted with PEOPLE The magazine under Mars’ Global Adoption Weekend to raise awareness of the adoption of pets.
Woodley shared that “grace period” is important for pet animals while finding an eternal home for them as it gives them time to acclimatize themselves into a new environment.
She said, “When you bring an animal home, don’t assume it will be immediately symbiotic – things take time, relationships taking confidence and patience. It’s the same for animals and humans.”
The Divergent Star continued to note that every long -term and healthy relationship needs time, comfort, confidence and most importantly, patience.
Woodley explained, “Anyone in a long -term healthy relationship knows patience, understanding and grace is required and brings home a domestic animal, there must also be a passing period, to be patient and understand that this animal comes with its own set of history and its own life as it lived in front of you, and you come with your own story and life you have lived before it.
“This establishment of trust, to be slow with the process of gaining their confidence and giving your confidence, I think it sets a relationship that will only ever be productive and comforting for all the parties involved,” that Adrift Actress who has been a zoophilist noted.
