- Nvidia GPUs remain the unwavering backbone of Global AI -progress
- Amazon and Google notify Discreet Jensen Huang before revealing AI -chip projects
- Cloud Computing -Giants still can’t survive without Nvidia’s critical GPU supply
Nvidia has established a level of control over AI hardware that few other companies in the technology sector can match.
The company’s GPUs have become the essential foundation of modern AI tools, large-scale cloud computing services and data center workload.
This dominance means both competitors and partners are forced to recognize Nvidia’s influence in the industry.
Respect from Amazon and Google
Large companies like Amazon and Google even inform NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang prior to messages related to their own AI -chip programs.
The information Notes, “At the center of it all is Huang, as other leaders in the industry show unusual forms of respect.”
Both companies seek to reduce the dependence on Nvidia, yet they still choose to notify Huang first, reflecting his position in the industry’s hierarchy.
Insiders suggests that this respect arises because the “Cloud Computing companies in Amazon and Google cannot survive without access to NVIDIA’s GPUs.”
While both companies are exploring their own internal design, the reality is that their largest AI projects remain dependent on Nvidia’s hardware.
The extent of demand is so huge that a single collaboration between Openai and Nvidia could consume four to five million GPUs.
Orders for the GB300 AI server have similarly been described as “unbelievable” by a Quanta AI director.
In practice, even the largest companies cannot bypass Huang’s attention if their projects require millions of NVIDIA GPUs.
Despite the efforts of AMD and Intel, Nvidia’s lead in AI GPU technology sees safe. AMD has not yet closed the gap, and Intel is often described as working on the sidelines.
Currently, Huang is seen as “AI GPU Godfather”, a figure whose supervision of the sector makes it difficult for rivals to make progress without drawing attention.
The concentration of power in a single company raises questions about how sustainable the current situation is.
If Amazon and Google succeed with their internal design, the balance can change over time.
Still, the continued dependence on NVIDIA’s GPUs shows how difficult it will be to change the structure of the market.
