Previously we only knew that A knight of the seven kingdoms Would arrive sometime at the beginning of 2026, so it is satisfying to know that we are getting a potentially good program to see and lift our blues after Orlay.
The Series launch month announcement was also accompanied by its first official poster.
In that we see a young Aegon V Targaryen, a future king of Westeros looking up at an incredibly high individual whose full frame does not even fit the artwork. That person? Watches Duncan the Tall, one of the show’s titular duo – along with Aegon V – and a future Lord Commander of the Kingsguard.
This will not be the only big disclosure we get to A knight of the seven kingdoms In the coming days. A panel for the upcoming HBO TV-Original will take place on the New York Comic-Con (NYCC) 2025 this weekend. In fact, it will be one of the first major panels of this year’s Convention, where the event will occur on Thursday, October 9 at 1 p.m. 13 ET / 10:00 PT / 17:00 BST.
So what do we expect to learn on the said panel? Hopefully the show’s actual release date. I am all determined on a first trailer will also be revealed, especially as A knight of the seven kingdoms is only three months away from premiere on one of the world’s best streaming services. Based on ‘Tales of Dunk and Egg’ short stories bound by Thrones Author George Rr Martin, a knight of the seven kingdoms tells the story of Se Duncan the High (alias Dunk) and his Squire Aegon (alias Egg).
As for where their adventures sit on the Westeros Time Line, ‘Tales of Dunk and Egg’ occurs about 90 years before the events in Game of Thrones. It places it between the critically recognized book series and Dragon Housealias another of Martin’s book that chronicates Targaryen Civil War. The literary work has also been transformed into a TV series and its next rate – Dragon House Season 3 – gets filmed while we’re talking.
It’s unclear if A knight of… will customize all three short stories this season. But with one of the best HBO Max-Shows-Potentially, yet-Kun expected to include six episodes, it will be fascinating to see if the three pieces of literature have been squeezed into a single season worth of TV or if there will be a follow-up.
