While the status of different parts of steam has been swung since approx. at. 12 one, all steam services are listed as normal from 1 p.m. 13:40 one at Steamstats.us.
Visits to this unofficial steam status page have also fallen from over 1,700,000 to 1,308,000, which probably indicates the service is starting to recover.
While reported power cuts for steam that have been spiked to over 40,000 earlier today on down detector, the chart currently shows that the service is recovering. From 13:19 ET are reported power cuts of 3,591.

It seems that steam is starting to recover from 1 p.m. 13:25 ET, Steamstats.us shows that ‘Steam Store’, ‘Steam Community’, ‘Steam Web API’ and ‘Steam Connection Managers’ are now back to normal.
Although there have been over 1,700,000 page views for this status checker in the last hour, this indicates some problems with the platform.
Here’s a look at Steamstats, which we get this live blog up and run at. 13:10 et.
