Yesterday I got my first word by putting together two words that are not games, and the same could have happened today with feedback, which got me off to a good start.
As a former music journalist, I have participated in sound checks from several artists when testing their kit before a concert. It was something I used to find the idea of quite exciting – to see the artist on stage before anyone else – but which I quickly discovered was among the most boring things that a musician has to do, and that is why the most famous passport over the job for a member of their road crew.
Maybe it was worth it, though, as it allowed me to sail through today’s threads without any problems. Check one-two.

What is new threads?
Strands is Nyt’s non-new-new-more word games after Wordle and connections. It is now a fully expanded member of Nyt’s Games Stable, which has been running for a year and can be played on the new Games website on desktop or mobile.
