- Square AI integrates with local data to give businesses detailed insights
- An AI voting assistant can also take orders over the phone
- Bitcoin -Payments will be free in most US states until 2027
Square has revealed a number of AI upgrades designed to give companies access to even more intelligence and insight into an attempt to show the locking of additional context can give SMBs enormous value.
Square AI will now support local data integration, including weather, events, news and reviews that help companies adapt to prognosis-driven staff, warehouse and menu adjustments.
The company also improves conversation history so that companies can check back on past insight and adapt them to the future.
Square’s AI becomes even more useful
With resources that are already spread thinly over multiple operations, and many hospitality companies that are struggling to hardly stay fluid, so much less focus on their customers, new AI-driven voting positions will respond to any call with conversation AI to handle orders, send them directly to the kitchen or POS and log information within square messages.
“Square dashboard has always been rich in data, but the reality is that digging through reports and extracting valuable insights takes time that many sellers just don’t have,” explained the global leader of product Willem Ave.
With that in mind, an updated dashboard allows you to pin and save AI-generated data visualizations and widgets for easily glossy insights. Square’s AI will also expand to the mobile app.
The practical AI improvements came hand in hand with newly launched support for Bitcoin payments and conversions for sellers, with zero-processing fees for the first year of Bitcoin payments on POS systems. From January 1, 2027, each transaction costs a treatment fee of 1%.
It includes support to manage, buy, sell, keep and pull out Bitcoin in Square’s ecosystem.
This is coming as US cryptocurrency payment users are expected to grow by 82% between 2024 and 2026. For now, Bitcoin support is only available to US companies, excluding those in the New York State.
