- Wi-Fi 7 Advanced Lifts 10 Gbps Network with Integrated Sensing and Improved Security
- Huawei and IEEE releases white paper sketching connection, IoT and Zero Trust Protections
- The future of Wi-Fi networks switches from pure speed to intelligent sensing and protection
Huawei has published his Wi-Fi 7 Advanced Technology White Paper in Europe and has prepared a vision for the next phase of wireless network.
The White Book, produced in collaboration with IEEE and SELECT Industry Partners, outlines how Wi-Fi 7 advanced buildings on Wi-Fi 7 to deliver faster speeds, tighter integration with IoT and Sensing and stronger security features.
“Wi-Fi 7 Advanced enables AP’s to create campus networks that smoothly integrate communication, Sensing and IoT,” Dr. Edward Au, IEEE 802.11BE Technical editor. “This improves the campus experience, strengthens security and increases digital productivity, making the whole campus more intelligent, safe and efficient,” he added.
What does this mean for Wi-Fi 8?
Among Wi-Fi 7 ADVANCE’s key features is intelligently coordinated planning and spatial recycling technology, designed to enable large-scale 80MHz networks and double the single-user data contract.
In connection with VIP FastPass, the system guarantees low-latency connections for priority users.
Huawei says this creates the foundation of 10 GBPS Enterprise Networks capable of handling AR-assisted workflows and AI-run cooperation.
The technology also extends beyond raw speed. By combining Wi-Fi, IoT and Sensing, Wi-Fi 7 Advanced enables what Huawei calls “intelligent space.”
Applications range from energy-saving building management through human presence to health surveillance with MMWAVE sensors to continuous vital signing tracking.
As you would expect, security is also a focus. Wi-Fi 7 Advanced incorporates Wi-Fi Shield, using AI-powered encryption to prevent data leakage, while Wi-Fi Channel State Information Sensing detects in real time.
There are also tools for identifying hidden cameras via full -tape scanning.
“Powered by Wi-Fi 7 Advanced, Huawei Xinghe Ai Campus pushes communication efficiency to new boundaries with 10 GBPS connection,” said Shawn Zhao, President of Campus Network Domain, Huawei’s data communication product line.
Wi-Fi 8 is placed as a standard that focuses less on peak speeds and more on stability, latency and performance under heavy load. The arrival of Wi-Fi 7 Advanced complicates this image.
By providing 10 GBPS office networks and stratification in Sensing and AI-driven security, Wi-Fi 7 advanced brings out features that would previously have been expected by Wi-Fi 8.
