Seventh classing commits suicide over academic stress

The body of a teenage boy, 14-year-old Abdul Ghani, was found hanging in a house in Arafat Town, North Nazimabad, within the Taimuria Police Station’s Jurisdiction. The boy allegedly committed suicide because of distress over academic difficulties in school.

The deceased body was moved to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for legal formalities. Sho Taimuria, Sub -Inspector (SI) Qaiser Imtiaz, reported that the deceased, a student in seventh grade, used a Dupatta (scarf) to hang herself because of academic stress.

The uncle’s uncle, Arshad, refused to pursue further litigation. After the end of the necessary formalities, the deceased boy’s body was thus handed over to his family.

Man shoots myself in alleged suicide

A resident of House No B-401 in Said-Arab Villas within the Manghopir Political Station’s Jurisdiction was found dead with a gunshot wound.

The deceased’s body was moved to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH), where he was identified as 50-year-old Iftikhar Ahmed. The original investigations revealed that the deceased’s family heard a shot from a room, rushed to it and found Ahmed’s death.

Police stated that the incident appears to be a suicide, but further investigations are to determine the exact circumstances of the death.
