“Bring Binoculars” seemed like a real mystery at first. Binoculars are the kind of things people would go on boat trips to spot whales, or if they were a spy, but I couldn’t think of any occasion worthy of a thread collection.
Then I found Finch and Hawk in the board, and ear fell that the theme was connected to bird button or specifically, according to the extra long tip, to observe the fall migration.
Despite showing some short bird names – except for the difficult war leader – this was far from an easy game and it took me longer than usual to implement.

What is new threads?
Strands is Nyt’s non-new-new-more word games after Wordle and connections. It is now a fully expanded member of Nyt’s Games Stable, which has been running for a year and can be played on the new Games website on desktop or mobile.
