Colts’ Charvarius Ward misses week 6 play with concussion

Indianapolis Colts lost a key member in their secondary Sunday during warm -ups before their week 6 match against Arizona Cardinals.

The Colts Cornerback Charvarius Ward unexpectedly collided with the tight end Drew Ogletree when they were ready for the game. He was on earth a few moments before his teammates and the team’s medical staff helped him evaluate him.

Ward was diagnosed with a concussion and was excluded from the game against the Cardinals.

The Pro Bowl Cornerback is in his first season with Colts. In four games he has recorded 13 tackles and three passport breaks. He played three seasons with San Francisco 49ers and earned his first Pro Bowl -Nikk in 2023 when he led the NFL with 23 collapse.

He played four seasons with Kansas City Chiefs and won a Super Bowl with them in 2020 before joining the 49s.

Colts’ defense is third in permitted points and 14. In yards allowed.

It was not the only freak injury that Colts then occurs in warm -ups.

Quarterback Anthony Richardson was excluded for the team’s games after he suffered a freak eye injury when a training band broke and hit him. Riley Leonard was named backup -quarterback to Daniel Jones.
