Lions, chiefs players brawl after hard fought games

A hard -fought victory by Kansas City Chiefs over the Detroit Lions took a wild turn when the last flute blew on Sunday night when a fight broke out among players.

Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes went up to Lions Defensive Back Brian Branch for a handshake after a postgame. Branch Snubed Mahomes’ sports crew, and it looked like the wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster avoided it.

Smith-Schuster and branch exchanged words before the defensive back pushed the wide receiver in the helmet. Smith-Schuster went down on one knee and ran back Isiah Pacheco tried to hold back the Lions player. Smith-Schuster came back on Branch and tried to take him down.

Despite being held back by Pacheco, the branch still managed to tear away Smith-Schuster’s helmet. Players from both teams entered the mixture and tried to pull the two colleagues apart. Another punch was thrown as it ended.

When Brouhaha had disappeared, the players said their last goodbye to each other and went back into the dressing room.

The NFL is likely to elaborate on some penalties over the fracas.

Kansas City won the game, 30-17, and jumped back from a tough loss Monday night against Jacksonville Jaguars. Chiefs are now 3-3.
