Kansas City Chiefs, who came out of a loss, just got back on the field with a dominant home victory against Detroit Lions, 30-17, on “Sunday Night Football.”
Chiefs returned to .500 with a 3-3 record, while Lions had their four-match victory cracked when they moved to 4-2 a year.
It was expected that both teams would draw all stops as two of the best offenses in the NFL went against each other again on Arrowhead. But there were some important mistakes from the lions that eventually left them.

One of these most important moments came on the first drive as they walked 15 pieces down adfield and killed almost 10 full minutes from the first quarter that came to the head of the fourth and goal from the one-yard line. Of course, a Dan Campbell-led Lions team went after it close to the finish line, but some trickery was involved.
Quarterback Jared Goff, originally under the center, moved out to the left, and ran back David Montgomery threw a care to him. Goff originally bubbled, but he was able to regain control and enter the final zone of an impressive touchdown. After consideration, however, it was decided by officials that GOFF was never set and it was a flag for illegal movement. Jake Bates had to kick a field goal instead to go up 3-0.

Patrick Mahomes meanwhile made sure to respond with a touchdown and he did so much faster than Lions’ opening drive. He found Xavier worthy of his first touchdown of the season, although Harrison Butker was far away with his extra point and kept the scoring of 6-3.
Lions were able to find the final zone on the ensuing drive when Jameson Williams, who has been quiet in recent weeks despite the victory stretch, fought for several bosses tackers for a 22-yard catch-and-run in six points.
Detroit was able to get the bosses to turn the ball on downs and they had the opportunity to really pull in front of the road. But Goff’s fourth-2-pass from Kansas City 44-Yard line did not find himself safe in Amon-Ra St. Brown’s hands in spite of their rock-firm connection. Momentum quickly changed in Chiefs’ advantage, and Mahomes used it all to take the lead.
This time, Mahomes rushed for his fourth touchdown of the season, held it on a reading setting and scored with 37 seconds left.
When Chiefs got the ball to start the second half, it was Touchdown hard to swallow for Campbell’s crew, and Detroit was in an even bigger hole when the third quarter began.
Mahomes was methodical when the game resumed, and he found the Hollywood Brown for the first of his two touchdowns in the 2nd half to take a 20-10 lead. The Lions were able to cut the lead to three when the fourth quarter began when the tight end Sam Laporta got a huge one -handed catch to six points.
But just when it looked like the lions got started again, Mahomes got their defense salary. It was brown again that was open open on the third and map near the finish line.
After Butker added a field goal to make it 30-17, the lions needed a miracle to get back from this deficit with only 2:26 left on the clock. But once again, they were unable to connect on fourth and short, which ended their hope.

In the box’s score, Mahomes appeared beautifully with 257 yards and three touchdowns on 22-of-30 through the air while hurried into 31 yards of 10 bears. The tight end Travis Kelce, with his fiancé Taylor Swift, who participated in his first NFL game of the season tonight, led the road with six catches in 78 yards.
Meanwhile, Goff was for Lions 23-of-29 in 203 yards with his two touchdown passes. St. Brown had nine catches, but they only went in 45 yards. Chiefs’ defense also did a good job of slowing down Jahmyr Gibbs (17 bearer, 65 yards) and David Montgomery (four carrier, 24 yards).
