Tua Tagovailoa’s frustrations over Miami Dolphins’ performances through six weeks of the 2025 NFL season seemed to boil over after a 29-27 loss to Los Angeles chargers.
Tagovailoa said he was “shocked” with the latest losses and was asked how the team will avoid trying to take a “woe is me” attitude throughout the next few matches. He suggested that other members of the team start to draw their weight and do the little things.

“Well, I think it starts with management helping to formulate it for the guys and then what we expect out of the guys,” he said. “We expect this. Do we get it? Don’t we get it?
“We have guys who show up for only only meetings with players. The guys don’t show up for only meetings with player. There’s a lot going into it. Should we do it mandatory? Don’t we need the mandatory? So it’s a lot of things of the kind that we need to be cleaned. It starts with the little things like that.”
Dolphin’s main coach Mike McDaniel was asked about Tagovailoa’s revelation.

“Play-led meetings are extra things outside of what I demand,” McDaniel said. “We have been very responsible to me. It sounds like there was something in his mind with regard to the specific meetings with a few individuals that he tried to be fixed by being directly with communication. I think that is the only way to lead.
“As far as we have been to as a program, I think we have opened the air on all this, and it is very clear how we keep people responsible and what is not marketable with all these things. Obviously he sends a message, but from my point of view, all I have asked for guys they have delivered, and so I am sure he is talking to, teammate. “
Tagovailoa was 21-of-32 with 205 passing yards, a walk-ahead touchdown pass for Darren Waller and three interceptions.
