Detroit Lions Defensive Back Brian Branch came pure over his “childish” behavior at the end of the team’s loss to Kansas City Chiefs Sunday night.
Branch punched Chiefs Broad receives Juju Smith-Schuster after he snubbed Patrick Mahomes who had to go in for a handshake. It triggered a wild melee that ended with Smith-Schuster’s helmet off and players from both teams trying to separate the two.

Branch said he was sorry to be blocked in the back of Smith-Schuster in the fourth quarter.
“I did a little childish thing, but I’m tired of people doing things between the play and Refs doesn’t catch it,” Branch said. “They are trying to bully me out there and I don’t – I shouldn’t have done it. It was childish.”
Branch also faced criticism on social media.
Lion’s principal coach Dan Campbell also condemned Branch’s actions.

“I love Brian Branch, but what he did is unforgivable and it won’t be accepted here. That’s not what we do. That’s not what we’re about,” Campbell said. “I apologized for Coach (Andy) Reid and Chiefs and Smith-Schuster.
“It’s not ok. That’s not what we’re doing here. It won’t be okay. He knows that. Our team knows it. That’s not what we do.”
The branch is likely to face at least one large fine for its actions. He was hit by a $ 23,186 bill for face masking and unsportsmanlike behavior sanctions over a week 1 match against Green Bay Packers. He could also be suspended.
