Kp cm-elect’s speech not in line with constitution: Sanaullah

Advisor to the Prime Minister of Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah Monday attacked Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister-Elected Sohail Afridi for his fiery virgin speech in the provincial assembly.

Talking about Pakinomist New’s The program “Capital Talk”, Sanaullah said that Afridi’s speech was not in accordance with the Constitution and the law.

The former security Czar asked if the speech held by the elected chief minister was appropriate for the forum.

“Sohail Afridi says he will not cooperate with the federal government,” Sanaullah said, quoting CM-selected.

Although provinces enjoy autonomy after the 18th constitutional amendment, they cannot defy the federal government, the prime minister’s aid said.

The 18th change of Pakistan’s constitution was adopted in 2010, and among the changes it introduced was the devolution of many powers and responsibilities from the center to the provinces.

With reference to Afridi’s virgin speech in the KP assembly, Sanaullah said, “If the elected ministerial election works in accordance with what he said in his speech, I do not think he can function under the Constitution and the law as leader of a provincial government.”

When he highlights the former reigning party’s attitude towards operations against terrorism, PM’s aid said PTI should behave as a political party if it is seeking a democratic and political treatment from the state and the institutions.

In response to another inquiry, the PML-N leader said the KP assembly session should not have been called before Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur’s resignation was formally accepted.

Cm-elect’s fiery speech

After repeating his loyalty to the imprisoned PTI founder Imran Khan, KP CM-selected Afridi threw the federal government in its virgin speech, which emphasized the need to review the country’s policy towards Afghanistan.

Afridi spoke during a KP assembly session, after being elected to the new leader of parliament after Gandapur’s resignation, calling for the elderly and representatives to be trusted to resolve the issue of terrorism.

Newly elected cm Afridi also addressed the issue of terrorism as KP has faced the events with Balochistan and said where there is terrorism, the solution is to take the elders in this area to trust.

He insisted that the solution to terrorism is in consultation with the masses and their representatives.

“Where you say there is terrorism, take the local representatives, parliamentarians, people and elders in confidence,” he said, calling for Pakistan’s Afghan politics to be reviewed.

Mixing that “a mindset” spotted the tribal people when his name was nominated for the CM office remembered Afridi his political career and journey.

The young politician also warned that if the PTI founder was moved from Adiala Prison without consulting his family and the party, they would paralyze the whole country in protest.
