The latest iOS 26.1 Beta reveals 3 more features coming to iPhones – including the redirected Apple TV app

  • The third iOS 26.1 Beta is out now
  • It includes a redesigned appicon for Apple TV that goes along with its Ommarking
  • There are also hints that several third-party-ai integrations could come soon and there is a new local recording setting screen

The next beta for iOS 26.1 has now landed and although this does not include many changes from the previous beta, there are three notable changes.

First up, as discovered by 9to5Mac, the Apple TV app has a new logo that has a little more color for it than the old one. That in itself may not seem very remarkable, but it is part of Apple’s recently advertised reorganization of the service, which is now simply called Apple TV rather than Apple TV+and which according to Apple has “a vibrant new identity.”

Presumably, this liveliness will ultimately extend beyond having a more colorful app icon, but so far that’s all we get.
