- Three new features could come to Google photos, as stained by Android Authority
- One of the new features includes a new photo album organizing tool that can save you time when sorting a large number of images
- Google Photos is also the tip of bringing two photo editing features including a new facial retouch effect, and a tool popular on Instagram stories
It seems that Google Photos is undergoing a different stage of development, and this time the company focuses on editing and organizational tools.
Despite not knowing when these features are set to go live, we have Android Authority to thank for their complicated demolition that have enabled some of the new changes to be activated that business has provided visual insights.
Three new upgrades could soon come to the Google Photos app, including a new photo album organizing feature. But Google’s main focus is on photo editing tools, which one adopts a striking resemblance to one of Instagram’s most commonly used features.
1. Instagram-inspired text settings
Just as you can add words to Instagram stories and wheels in different styles, Google tests an option that allows you to write text in a selection of new fonts and add it to photos and videos. Android Authority discovered this in version 7.49 of Google Photos Android app.
Although the opportunity to add text to media on Google photos has been around for a while, there are restrictions on font styles and colors. This new upgrade gives you more control and more creative freedom with new text style species and detailed color choices.
In Android Authority’s demolition, images reveal that the new font styles will have new names, including ‘Classic’, ‘Elegant’, ‘Bold’ and ‘Script’ – with a resemblance to Instagram’s font titles, but with a small difference.
Its updated menu also introduces an abundance of new color settings, which means you can choose between a wide range instead of having to choose between the current seven basic shades. Currently, there are no automatic color suggestions or an eyropper feature to choose a color from the image itself, but we can imagine this will be added in the future.
Dissatisfied with the limited editing options on Google photos? That could be changed soon as Google seems to test new retouching settings.
The current version of Google Photos gives you a number of basic photo editing effects and filter settings, but in a world where smartphone photography becomes more popular, users want more editing of freedom to target specific aspects. This is what Google Photos could introduce a new retouching effect.
There is already a similar feature in the camera app, but again it has a lot of limitations and only works for images taken in selfie and portrait modes. These new editing options have not yet been seen in action yet, but Android Authority has seen several text strings pointing to the new editing tool, including phrases such as ‘spots’, ‘teeth’ and ‘dark circles’ – apparently with reference to specific retouching settings.
3. An easier way to organize your albums
Grouping your photo library media in individual albums is boring work, especially if you have thousands of random photos floating around. But fear not, there can be a solution on the way.
In the latest version of Google Photos, Android Authority has managed to activate a new feature showing a new chip that appears when you see a photo you’ve added to one of your albums. When you press the chip, it will lead you to the album that the photo is in, but if it is in more than one album, a drop -down menu will show you all the places where you can find the picture.
Instead of navigating a photo information page to find his album, the new setting brings this dish ahead, making it easier for you to filter between your photo albums. It can save you bags of organizing time with certainty.
