- A new leak suggests that Google could reveal the next generation of Gemini in the coming weeks
- The leaked picture claims Gemini 3 will be launched on October 22
- Improvements everywhere could see Gemini increase its user base
The next generation of Google Gemini could launch as soon as next week, according to a new leak.
A screen shot that is shared on X by @chatgpt21 claims that Gemini 3.0 should be launched on October 22, and although we cannot verify this, it has given rise to some ideas on what the future of Google’s AI might look like.
Gemini 1.5 surprised everyone, Gemini 2.0 felt like a reset, and Gemini 2.5 finally showed what Google’s AI really can do. On paper, it is powerful enough to compete with chatgpt. In real life, however, chatgpt is still the chatbot people opening first, and the first thing that comes to mind when someone says ‘AI’.
Gemini 3 is perhaps Google’s best chance of changing it. To beat Chatgpt, it doesn’t just have to be smarter in a laboratory; It should be better to use every single day. Here are the five things Gemini 3 must improve if it finally wants to pass on chatgpt as the world’s number one AI chatbot.
1. Stop forgetting things
While Gemini 2.5 can technically handle giant conversations and long documents, it still loses track of what you are talking about all too often. I have found that I sometimes refer to something from earlier in the chat, and it suddenly seems like it has never heard it before.
It may not be a dealbreaker for everyone, but an AI -Chatbot’s memory is one of the most important features for the best experience, and I find that Gemini is still missing in this department.
Don’t get me wrong, chatgpt is not perfect either, but it usually keeps context more consistent and I have found that memory is more reliable. Gemini 3 needs memory that actually feels human, and it must remember key information, understand ongoing tasks and build on previous messages without forcing you to repeat yourself.
If Google gets it right, Gemini would finally feel like a proper assistant rather than a useful stranger with short -term memory loss.
2. Answer faster but smarter
Response speed means more than most people are aware of, especially when you want long conversations with your chosen chatbot.
Gemini 2.5 Flash introduced a mindset that shows its reasoning, and although I have been impressed with how smart it is, it can also be painfully slow.
Chatgpt 5 is now able to decide when to take longer to think, depending on the fast, you feed it, balances speed and intelligence really well (most of the time).
If Gemini 3 can match the ability to decide how complex an AI model to use for each of your prompt and give users control, it would make Gemini immediately feel more responsive and more personal.
3. Get a better understanding of what you really mean
I don’t want this list to come across, as if chatgpt is better than gemini; In fact, I often find myself choosing Google’s AI -Chatbot over Openai’s. That said, there are so many areas where all AI experiences could improve, and this applies to those I have mentioned and like Anthropics Claude.
One of these areas is just better understanding in general; A more human -like understanding, I assume you could say. There are moments when you ask Gemini a normal question and it returns something wildly random. It is not that it cannot answer the question; It just guesses the wrong interpretation and runs with confidence with it.
Gemini 3 should be better at reading intention. If a question can mean more things, it should be a quick follow -up instead of guessing. As I said, I would like to see that all AI -Chatbots are improving on this, but Google could wow us with Gemini 3 and set the mark for its competitors to reach.
4. Go beyond simple image understanding
Gemini can currently analyze your photos and short videos, but imagine if it could go beyond a low understanding and instead offer real analysis of what it sees.
Imagine using Gemini in the gym and getting a better understanding and analysis of your body’s shape or genuine sous chef capacities while cooking. Google has so much data at its fingertips; It would be great to see the company take advantage of this and really transform the way AI can improve our lives.
5. Become the Taskmaster we’ve been waiting for
Google continues to call Gemini a true assistant, but right now it feels more like a very smart search box, and it can honestly be said about any chatbot, to be completely honest.
Gemini can find things and explain things, but when you ask it to actually do something right, it often hits a wall. It can show you a restaurant instead of booking it, it can prepare an e -mail instead of sending it, and if one step goes wrong, it gives up instead of adapting to solve your problem.
Gemini 3 has to behave more like a personal assistant than a chatbot. This means performing tasks with multiple steps, dealing with changes on the go and determining its own errors without starting from scratch. If it can plan a trip, organize your day, or manage a project from beginning to end, people will finally see it as more than just another AI model.
Gemini 3 may be launched next week and if it does, I definitely hope Google has something AI -Magi up the sleeve.
