Just 229 candidates pass the exam

19 of the top 20 qualifications chose Pakistan administrative service while choosing police service in Pakistan

The Federal Public Service Commission has announced the results of Central Superior Services Examination 2024, which reveals a significantly low success rate of only 2.48 percent.

A total of 15,602 candidates appeared in the very competitive study, of which only 229 candidates managed to pass, including 119 male and 110 female candidates.

The results showed that 397 candidates originally cleared the written exam, but only 229 were declared successful after the Viva/interview. Their appointments are subject to their medical fitness.

Among the candidates who successfully cleared the written exam were 269 from Punjab, 33 from Sindh (Rural), 19 from Sindh (Urban), 31 from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, 22 from Balochistan, and two from Gilgit-Baltistan, while no candidate from Azad Jammu and Kashmir made it the final list.

The top three positions were secured by Muhammad Shafay Ijaz, who got the first position Sana Rasool was in second place and Momina Azhar secured third place.

Reports further indicated that 19 out of the top 20 qualifications chose the Pakistani administrative service, while only one candidate chose Pakistan’s police service. In particular, none of the top 30 candidates chose the Foreign Service in Pakistan this year.
