- An unboxing of the DJI Osmo Mobile 8 has surfaced
- It may be launched in the coming days and weeks
- The gimbal succeeds the Osmo Mobile 7 and Osmo Mobile 7P
It looks like the successor to the DJI Osmo Mobile 7P is imminent, although nothing is official yet. In fact, the launch of the Osmo Mobile 8 is now so close that a leaked unboxing video has come online.
The video comes from Camera Joint on TikTok (via Igor Bogdanov) and shows the DJI Osmo Mobile 8 from all angles. We also get to see it in action with a built-in phone that follows people as they move around the room.
There is a built-in LED light and the option to charge a phone, which is on the current model. The top of the gimbal is also now much more extendable, so you can use it in several different positions.
It’s hard to predict what other upgrades we might see. The obvious area to improve on a camera mount is battery life, but the DJI Osmo Mobile 7P and Osmo Mobile 7 were no slouch in that regard, both offering around 10 hours between charges.
Dates and prices
Как-то так:) Next Neo 2😉 https://t.co/cilgS46nsJ18 October 2025
We haven’t heard too much in the way of previous leaks when it comes to the DJI Osmo Mobile 8 – apart from rumors that it’s coming in November. We may also see the DJI Neo 2 and Mic 3 Pro at the same time, according to those in the know.
The price will of course be decisive. The DJI Osmo Mobile 7P launched at a starting price of $149 / £135 / AU$219, while the lighter Osmo Mobile 7, without module support, first went on sale at $89 / £85 / AU$159.
The DJI Osmo Mobile 8 is more likely to be priced around the more expensive of these two price points, given the AI tracking and lighting capabilities. That there is now an unboxing in nature suggests that boxes have already found their way to retailers.
This will be just another launch in what has already been a hectic 2025 for DJI. Among the products that the company has already released, we have had DJI Mavic 4 Pro, DJI Osmo 360 and DJI Mini 5 Pro.
