Bayern Munich welcome Club Brugge to the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night as they look to maintain their exemplary record in all competitions. For Belgian side Club Brugge, another strong UEFA Champions League campaign looks to be on the way. They started the league stage with a 4-1 drubbing of AS Monaco and although a late goal from Mario Pašalić denied them a point at Atalanta, they will still be confident of at least matching their round of 16 exit from last season. The ever-reliable Hans Vanaken will be vital to those hopes and he will be sure to add to his Champions League tally of 16 goals. Elsewhere, former Norwich City man Christos Tzolis is a player to keep an eye on for Vincent Kompany’s side, with the 23-year-old proving hugely influential since his arrival in the summer of 2024.
