George Clooney shares an honest view on getting old

George Clooney has become more reflective with age.

Thursday 23 October at AFI Fest premiere of his new film Jay Kellythe actor and filmmaker, who turned 64 this year, spoke candidly about aging and changing behavior.

“I’m 64, so you look back on everything,” the Ocean’s Eleven said the actor.

He explained the reason behind this shift, noting, “Because it’s harder to look ahead.”

The Oscar-winning actor previously shared a similar sentiment about aging, noting that he’s not particularly excited about it.

“My parents deal with all the things you deal with with age. They’re not thrilled about it, as you can imagine,” George shared Esquire on October 6.

“It’s neither of us, I guess. I’m not excited about being 64,” he added.

He also added at the time that to stay healthy and active, he bikes up Mount Bisbino in Como, Italy once every summer.

“Just to make sure I’m not too old,” he shared.

It is relevant to mention that George is the father of 8-year-old twins Alexander and Ella, whom he shares with wife Amal Clooney.
