Pakistan closes airspace during Indian exercises

KARACHI:

Pakistan has closed its airspace adjacent to India for two days – October 28 and 29 – from 06.00 to 9 am, according to a notice to airmen (NOTAM) issued by the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) on Monday.

The restriction applies to several routes within the Karachi and Lahore flight information regions bordering Indian airspace. The PCAA has notified all airlines and aircraft operators and advises caution during the limited period.

Sources said the decision was taken in view of Indian military exercises allegedly being conducted near the Pakistan border.
