Deion Sanders laments lack of patience during recent layoffs across college football

The sudden firings in college football across the sport prompted Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders to lament the lack of patience in the world Tuesday when he spoke to reporters.

LSU fired Brian Kelly Sunday after a loss to Texas A&M. It was only the Tigers’ third loss of the year. Kelly’s firing followed that of Penn State’s James Franklin and Florida’s Billy Napier.

Sanders was asked about the lack of patience in college football, but he brought a broader view and made some wild comparisons.

“Well, there’s no more patience in this world. How do we exude patience when we could call up right now and get a pizza delivered right here? You could call and have a ride waiting outside for you. Everything moves fast in this country,” he said. “Everybody wants the quick fix, the quick stuff.

“You have mail order brides too, right? You can get married right away. You can get a BBL (Brazilian Butt Lift). You can come in here flat like I don’t know what and leave fat as a Snicker. It’s a different country we live in, man. Ain’t nobody got patience anymore. I get it. I don’t feel like doing things right now either because I don’t right now. put in the work and you’ll get the result of the work you put in. It doesn’t often work that way.”

There will be exciting job openings around college football once the offseason officially begins.

Sanders is struggling with Colorado – his first year coaching the school without his son Shedeur Sanders at quarterback. The Buffaloes are 3-5 this season after suffering a 53-7 loss to Utah last weekend.

Colorado is back at home to take on Arizona on Saturday.
