As Alicia Silverstone approaches 50, she has admitted she wants to embrace “old-lady stuff”.
In an exclusive chat with People, the 49-year-old actress admitted that she is “very homely” and loves doing housework since her 20s.
“I want to do more old lady stuff — read in my garden,” she told the outlet, noting, “I can’t say it’s ‘old lady.’ I’ve wanted to do it since I was 20… I’m very homely, I guess.”

“I’m burning the candle so hard,” she remarked.
The Bugonia The actress went on to say, “What I guess I’m always trying to figure out is, ‘What do normal people do? How much rest do normal people get?’ And then try to implement it in my life because I work so much, so crazy that I’m always traveling. I am a machine.”
When the actress finished shooting the Yorgos Lanthimos-directed film and went straight to the set of Irish Blood to audition for actors, as a producer, Silverstone admitted that she had found relaxation for a while.
“I was kept a little bit torn between everything, so I wasn’t as relaxed. I was more pulled in many directions,” she revealed.
“(I) really, really love those mornings when I wake up and get my son to school, make his breakfast and his lunch. Then I walk my dog and then I work all day. It’s still busy, but it’s not crazy.”
It is relevant to mention that Silverstone is the mother of son Bear, whom she shares with ex-husband Christopher Jarecki.
