First of all, what a treat to have a Halloween themed board with orange and purple highlights and a spooky score grid. In Strand’s words: “Well done!”
This game was very much a case of trick or treating for me. I started off well seeing SKULLS and then THIGHUM, but after getting these and the third most obvious bone, the FIBULA, I hit a snag.
Luckily I found plenty of non-playable words in the pumpkin patch and the hints gave me ULNA and RADIUS and after getting the spanframe I was able to dig STERNUM and HUMERUS.

What is NYT Strands?
Strands is the NYT’s not-so-new-anymore word game, following Wordle and Connections. It’s now a full-fledged member of NYT’s game stable that’s been running for a year and can be played on the NYT Games site on desktop or mobile.
