ISLAMABAD:
DPM/FM Senator Ishaq Dar chaired a high-level meeting on Friday to review infrastructural facilities at Karachi’s ports, with emphasis on modernization, efficiency and cost-effectiveness in port operations.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Maritime Affairs, Secretaries of Shipping and Finance as well as chairmen of KPT and Port Qasim Authority, said a press release from the DPM’s Office.
Attendees reviewed the latest modernization initiatives that have improved cargo handling capacity and reduced transaction costs. The discussions also focused on integrating advanced IT and technical solutions to further streamline port operations.
