Commentators have just revealed the one reason why Andrew was never really close to the Welsh.
British royal expert Hilary Fordwich is the commentator in question and she shared everything Fox News Digital.
According to her findings, “the feud between Prince William and Prince Andrew started primarily because of Andrew’s jealousy and resulting disparaging remarks about Kate Middleton.”
“Prince William was furious,” from that moment. In particular, he is known to “be fiercely protective” of his wife.
Therefore, he “introduced a zero-tolerance policy towards any wayward behavior or scandals involving Prince Andrew,” the expert admitted.
But as far as Andrew was concerned, it became “that much scarier” because he had essentially been ousted “as his mother’s ‘golden boy’ since he was considered Queen Elizabeth II’s favourite.”
So, as a result, Ms. Fordwich explains, “his anger grew with his plummeting popularity and was then further aggravated by Kate’s eminence and poise.”
What is relevant to mention is that this claim comes just a few months before commentator Richard Kay revealed in a piece for the Daily Mail that the former Duke and his nephew were at loggerheads over Kate.
At the time, he wrote, “differences remain between the monarch and the heir, particularly when it comes to the Prince Andrew scandal, William has long held a grudge against Andrew for being unwelcome when he first introduced Kate Middleton to the royal family and feels his father has been too soft on him.”
