We’re expecting quite a few high-end Samsung Galaxy phones in the coming weeks and months, and two new leaks have given some hints as to when we might see the Galaxy S26 series and the tri-foldable that Samsung has been working on.
First of all, the Samsung Galaxy S26 phones. We think there will be three models this year (a standard, a Plus, an Ultra), with the possibility of a fourth model to succeed the Galaxy S25 Edge – which could end up being even thinner.
Now there’s a report from South Korean outlet Money Today (via @Jukanlosreve) that says some or all of these Galaxy S26 phones will be unveiled on Wednesday, February 25, at an event to be held in San Francisco in the US.
That’s later in the year than the Galaxy S25 launch, which happened on January 22, and follows earlier rumors of delays. The report also echoes an earlier rumor that the standard, Plus and Ultra models will all use Samsung’s own Exynos chips.
Samsung triple
Then we have Samsung’s tri-fold, which was first teased at the launch of the Galaxy S25 back in January and looks set to arrive before the end of the year – Samsung’s first phone with two hinges instead of one.
The team at SamMobile have discovered that the phone has now gone through the necessary regulatory steps to be recognized as a device with Bluetooth capabilities, a step that usually means a piece of hardware is about to launch.
According to sources speaking to SamMobile, the tri-fold will be made available in the US, China, South Korea and the UAE initially. It may then be sold in several countries sometime in 2026, but it is far from certain at the moment.
The Samsung tri-fold was officially shown earlier this week for the first time at the K-Tech Showcase in South Korea. It was out of reach in a display case, though, so the reveal didn’t really tell us much that was new.
