- New “Wide Stage Technology” for an expanded sound stage
- 10 drivers and 10 amplifiers to drive them
- 3 finishes and an ultra-rare Haute Edition
Bang & Olufsen has unveiled a new elite soundbar, the Beosound Premiere. With 10 custom drivers powered by 10 individual amplifiers, it’s extraordinarily powerful, and as you can see from the pictures, it’s also extraordinarily beautiful.
Bang & Olufsen describes it as a three-dimensional sculpture “reflecting the three-dimensional sound it produces”, and in addition to its precision-machined cabinet, it has 90 LEDs that promise to deliver “an ethereal glow inside the soundbar”.
The soundbar is made from pure aluminum and comes in a choice of natural, gold tone or black anthracite, and there’s also a very limited Haute Edition of just 25 units with a precision-milled pattern that B&O says takes 17 hours to complete.
Beosound Premiere: key features and pricing
Beosound Premiere introduces Bang & Olufsen’s new Wide Stage Technology. It’s a spatial sound processing system that the brand says expands the soundstage far beyond the speakers’ physical form.
Circled in the center of the soundbar is an upward-firing tweeter “designed to catch the eye like a jewel,” and it’s certainly striking. Less obvious, there are exactly 1,925 precisely machined perforations on the firing driver to mark the year Bang & Olufsen was founded.
In addition to the new Wide Stage technology signal processing, Beosound Premiere can also be combined with other Bang & Olufsen speakers to create a complete 7.1.4 surround sound system, complete with Dolby Atmos support.
Beosound Premiere will be launched in stages. The Natural Aluminum model will be available from December 2025 and can be ordered from today for expected delivery from 3 December; the gold tone will be available in February 2026; and Black Anthracite will be available from March 2026. The Haute Edition is available now, but not for long given the small production run.
The standard editions of the Beosound Premiere are £3,900 / €4,900 / $5,800 (approx. AU$7,835) and the Haute Edition is £11,000 / €13,000 / $15,700 (approx. AU$22,100). Bang & Olufsen also offers a selection of fabric upholstery and wooden upholstery.
At that price, I’m not sure it’ll find a place on our list of the best soundbars – we have to assume it’ll be a little bit of a fringe when it comes to bang for the buck – but when it comes to sheer presence, it looks like B&O have another huge design win on their hands.
