Charli XCX thought her label might drop her over her hugely successful 2024 album Abrupt.

The 32-year-old singer spoke with Gwyneth Paltrow on the actress Goop podcast about her thinking while making the record.

“I actually made this record saying, ‘OK, I’m just going to make this for me,'” she told Gwyneth.
