- Netflix is holding free late-night screenings of Stranger Things season episode 1 in London, UK on November 13
- Two late-night screenings are scheduled, but fans will be randomly selected
- Viewers can apply for the ballot using the ApplauseStore ticket portal
If you live in or near London, there’s never been a better time to be one Stranger Things fan. Netflix has revealed that it will hold an exclusive late night screening of Stranger Things season 5 episode 1, titled ‘Chapter One: The Crawl’, on November 13 – two weeks before its global debut.
However, it’s not as easy as just waking up on the day or fighting your way through a typical Ticketmaster-like queue. To be eligible, fans must enter the ticket slip via ApplauseStore using the promo code ‘ST5FANS‘ to be considered at all.
Fans will then be randomly selected from the draw, so choose whichever view you prefer and hope for the best. Unfortunately, the option is only for over 18s.
My advice? Please ensure that you have first created an ApplauseStore account (and activated it) before attempting to use the promo code. If you don’t, you will be stopped every time you try to insert it.
For everyone else, the existing Stranger Things Season 5 release schedule still applies

There is less good news for the rest of us – or those not selected, who must wait for the original Stranger Things season 5 premiere date November 26.
In case you missed the hit show’s three-part release schedule, here’s what to expect over the next two months:
- Season 5 volume 1 – 26/27 November; includes sections 1 to 4
- Season 5 volume 2 – 25/26 December; includes sections 5 to 7
- Season 5 volume 3 – 31 December 2025 / 1 January 2026; contains only the final
Each of these volumes is published at 5pm PT, so mark your calendars now.
But what can you expect? As Netflix tells us, “Autumn 1987. Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna. But he has disappeared – his whereabouts and plans unknown. To complicate their mission, the government has put the city under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for her eleven.”
“As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar fear. The final battle looms—and with it, a darkness more powerful and deadlier than anything they’ve faced before. To end this nightmare, they need everyone—the full party—to stand together, one last time.”
If you’re lucky enough to catch the preview, it’ll be well worth it – episode 1 alone is 68 minutes long.
